OUR HELICOPTERS
The Helicopter Line fleet consists predominantly of European AS355 Twin Engine Squirrels, and AS350 Squirrels. They are ideal for scenic flights, with an open plan cabin making for excellent views.

The Helicopter Line has the highest level of Civil Aviation Authority certification for scenic helicopter operations, this involves regular monitoring and audit of all aspects of our operations.

Our professional team are dedicated to ensuring you experience the best with The Helicopter Line. Our professionally trained pilots have specific experience flying in New Zealand's alpine environments, and all of our crew are qualified to ensure your safety both in the air and on the ground.

FLIGHT INFORMATION
For your safety and enjoyment, all flights are subject to weather conditions. Flights, lanidngs or routes may vary to those described due to local weather conditions. Any changes are at the discretion of the pilot.

Flight times are approximate and include your landing. Sunglasses, sturdy footwear and a camera are recommended!

A courtesy coach is available at all locations for transfers to and from central locations.

BOOKINGS
All flights have a minimum passenger number for departures. Bookings will be accepted for numbers less than the required minimum as we will coordinate to achieve the required minimum. Clients are required to reconfirm their reservation the day prior to flying by calling The Helicopter Line base where they have booked to fly.

Should inclement weather prevent a flight at the booked location, the same booking will be accepted at any of The Helicopter Line bases for a flight of similar duration and price.

PRICES
Prices quoted are in New Zealand Dollars and include the New Zealand Government Goods and Services Tax of 15%. Child rates for scenic helicopter flights are based on 70% of the adult rate. A child is 14 years and under and must be accompanied by a fare paying adult. Child rate for the Franz Josef Heli Hike is $20 off the adult rate with the child age 8 - 14 years inclusive. Prices are valid until 30 September 2012 and are subject to change without notice. All major credit cards are accepted. Should inclement weather prevent a flight at the booked location, either the flight can be transferred to another helibase or a full refund given.  No refund will be given for no-shows or changes made less than 4 hours prior to departure. 

CHARTER FLIGHTS
As well as our brochured scenic flights as detailed in this website, The Helicopter Line also operates charter flights for all types of helicopter work from all of our operating bases, including heliskiing, climbing, hunting, fishing and more. Scenic helicopter tours are also available and we will be pleased to assist in the design of your tailored itinerary.

Charter rates are quoted on a per flying hour, or parts thereof, per aircraft basis (not per person). Please enquire for our current charter rates.
