Fiordland

Te Anau and The Helicopter Line are your gateway to Fiordland National Park, Doubtful, Dusky and Milford Sounds. Fiordland is where mountains and valleys compete with each other for room, where scale is almost beyond comprehension, rainfall is measured in metres and scenery dramatic and imposing.

 
SCENIC FLIGHTS FROM TE ANAU 

Scenic Te Anau - HLM1
Sample the grandeur of the Fiordland scenery. This flights is a short adventure into the untamed Kepler Mountains taking in the spectacular views of the rural basin of Te Anau and its many hidden lakes. We land at a mountain tarn so you can enjoy the vista and ruggedness of the Main  Divide.  Flight includes alpine landing.

Doubtful Sound  - HLM3
The Helicopter Line will take you on a scenic helicopter trip of a lifetime to enjoy the spectacular beauty of Doubtful Sound, Fiordland, New Zealand. View the pristine 40 kilometre long winding fiord from above. See three distinct arms between Deep Cove and the open sea. Explore the imposing 900 metre sea cliff of Commander Peak at the entrance to Hall Arm. A great flight for spotting seals. Flight includes waterfall landing.

Dusky and Doubtful Sound - HLM2  
A flight not to be missed! Two amazing fiords - remote and memorable. Dusky Sound is where Captain Cook moored at Pickersgill Harbour in 1772. Doubtful Sound is the largest and most spectacular of the Fiords.  Flight includes a waterfall landing.

Milford Sound Scenic - HLM4  
Amazing Milford Sound is not to be missed! Fly over spectacular alpine scenery enroute to Milford Sound experiencing the Southern Alps as never before. The grandeur of Mitre Peak offers an exceptional aerial photo opportunity before landing at Milford Sound to get up close and personal with this amazing part of the world. Three Supreme Sounds - Dusky, Doubtful and Milford Sound  
A helicopter flight is a spectacular way to experience the scope and grandeur of Fiordland, this trip encompasses all three sounds with fantastic aerial views of the world famous fiords. Experience Dusky Sounds which Captain Cook first discovered in 1772: swooping north dissecting  three spectacular fiords as you arrive at the world renowned Doubtful Sound. From there carve your way through this remote untouched wilderness to Sutherland Falls and Lake Quill. Once airborne, we will fly North up the rugged coastline for a landing at Milford Sound. onwards to Te Anau, you'll have great views of snowfields and ice shelves of the magnificent Southern Alps.Flight includes three landings.

SCENIC FLIGHTS FROM TUATAPERE
 
Viaducts in the Sky
Departing from Clifden you will fly over the Rowallan Forest to land near the Humpridge Track. Take in the commanding views eastwards across Te Waewae Bay where Hector Dolphins and Southern Right whale visit. Your landing is near the magnificent Percy Burn Viaduct built from Australian Hardwood in 1923. Flight includes one landing.

Three Scenic Lakes - Hauroko, Poteriteri, Hakapoua
Go into the deepest southern corner of Fiordland National Park. Be one of the few to take in the majestic scenery and raw beauty of these three magnificient pristine lakes. Landing on the south coast (tide permitting) and Percy Burn Viaduct. Flight includes two landings.

South West Fiordland
Take a rare glimpse of the dramatic scenery of the south western coast including Preservation Inlet (tide permitting). Marvel over the Humpridge Track's Percy Burn Viaduct and take in the spectacular view of Dusky Sound. Flight includes two landings.

Wild South - Preservation Inlet, Dusky Sound, Lake Roe
Discover deepest Fiordland and tits amazing southern coastline. This remarkable flight features three beautiful landings. The first is a beach landing in Preservation Inlet (tide permitting). The second is in Dusky Sound, one of the largest and most complex fiords in the National Park. Your final landing is at the Percy Burn Viaduct, the largest surviving wooden viaduct in the world. Your flight will also take you over beautiful Lake Roe overlooking the challenging Dusky Track. Flight includes three landings.

Dale Green has been flying since 2001. Born in and bred in Tuatapere, Dale operates from Tuatapere and has extensive knowledge of South West Fiordland, Southern and the Southern Islands.
