AGRICULTURAL WORK
Frost Protection
Providing helicopter intervention for “frost protection” over a variety of crops.
Drying Orchard Fruit
The AS350 and AS355 Squirrels and H500 are also used for drying crops such as cherries, tomatoes and grapes after rain.
Filming and Photography
Film, television and photography work depends on how successful the director, helicopter pilot and the camera operator are. All three need to work together to obtain the best imagery possible.
At The Helicopter Line, our pilots are highly qualified with extensive filming hours as well as working with photographers to help capture that perfect shot using all types of camera platform. Our aircraft are fitted with all of the necessary anchor points for the main stabilised camera systems and our pilots have developed a finely-tuned instinct to position for that special shot.
Our pilots will request an extensive ground briefing before flying to make sure they understand all aspects of the task and the camera equipment involved. Often we’ll suggest additional ideas based on our extensive experience and our pilots will always be looking for ways to bring that bit of extra magic to the shoot.
Fire Fighting
For emergency firefighting response we have both AS350 B2 and AS350 BA squirrels available with our 1000 litre monsoon buckets with foam suppression.
Search & Rescue
The Helicopter Line provides Search and rescue and medivacs missions for LDART and the NZ Police.
